Who is AFCH?
AmericansForCoordinatedHealthcare.org is sponsored by the California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG), an organization committed to improving healthcare for all Californians. CAPG is comprised of over 150 of California’s leading physician groups that employ or contract with approximately 59,000 physicians who provide healthcare services to more than 15 million Californians.
CAPG is also a member of the national Physician Groups for Coordinated Care coalition of independent practice associations and medical groups from across the country — committed to coordinating effective, efficient delivery of necessary care to our patients. Physician Groups for Coordinated Care urges Congress to implement payment methodologies that support accountable, coordinated care infrastructures and that provide incentives for higher quality patient care and better patient outcomes.

AmericansForCoordinatedHealthcare.org was established to give a voice to citizens who are concerned with the future of Medicare and want to preserve the coordinated care model within national Medicare reform discussions.

Coordinated Care Facts
In 2007, Medicare Advantage saved seniors nearly $90 per month or $1000 per year in out of pocket costs. An estimated savings of approximately $7 billion annually. Additionally, compared to traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans can reduce out-of-pocket costs by up to $4,000 annually for patients with the highest healthcare needs.
